Manufacturing Calibration Tech

Adecco has partnered with a local client in Boston, MA in their search for a Manufacturing Calibration Technician. As a Manufacturing Calibration Technician, you’ll perform, complete and document Process Equipment repairs, PMs, Calibrations and general upkeep for process equipment use and operation.

Hours: Monday – Friday; 1pm – 9pm

Minimum duration: 6 months

Pay: $24 - $26/hour DOE

Duties:

  • Perform calibrations, troubleshooting, repairs and/or verifications of production equipment
  • Perform testing on electronic components to determine functionality level and capacity
  • Plan and coordinate external calibration services
  • Coordinate on-site calibration and maintenance with contract service providers
  • Use manual and powered electrical repair and diagnostic tools/ instruments
  • Utilize expertise of instrument, equipment, and loop calibrations of various parameters used within the site’s manufacturing operations, laboratories and facilities
  • Complete all cGMP documentation associated with calibration and maintenance tasks
  • Review calibration SOPs for accuracy during routine calibration or when a new instrument is introduced into the calibration database. Create or revise the SOPs as needed.
  • Support daily manufacturing operations inclusive of setup, operation, disassembly and cleaning of manufacturing equipment
  • Create, update and maintain controlled documentation and service records
  • Work with engineering and management staff on process development and validation activities
  • Perform other duties as directed by Manager

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a regulated medical device environment performing equipment calibration and maintenance
  • Experience with precision equipment calibration - temperature, pressure, dimensional, etc.
  • Experience with the use of basic mechanical hand tools (saws, drill press, grinder). Manual machining skills (with use of lathe / milling machine) are a plus
  • Able to work from specifications, drawings, verbal instructions or sketches
  • Must have PC experience, especially with Microsoft office packages i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. CAD experience (AutoCAD) a plus

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

Lyophilizers, saws, presses, vacuum pump, pH meters, thermometers, balances (scales), water bath circulators, Sonicators, air gun, slicer, flesher, drop indicator, PLCs, scalpels and temperature recorders.
