CHICO MANUFACTURING COMPANY IN SEARCH OF EXPERIENCED INDIVIDUAL TO WORK IN MATERIALS DEPARTMENT AS A PROCUREMENT ASSISTANT. 

 

THE QUALIFIED CANDIDATE WILL NEED TO PERFORM ESSENTIALS FUNCTIONS:

  • Source and order inventory and MRO parts/products/material goods, including scheduling repair service.
  • Expedite and/or delay scheduled due dates of inventory and MRO parts.
  • Enter and revise purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner to maintain high level of data integrity in Qantel enterprise system.
  • Manage non-inventory materials/services (PO’s for MRO, IRM & REQ System.
  • Enter and revise pricing data/standard cost info. into Qantel system accurately and in a timely manner to ensure high level of data integrity.
  • Generate requests for quotation as well as requests for requote of existing parts.
  • Resolve issues that arise as a result of discrepant material including but not limited to RMA requests, debit memos, return of material/goods.
  • Monitor late shipments/deliveries to plant. Notify Buyer/Planner of which items and update Qantel system with revisions to delivery schedules.
  • Negotiate conflicts that arise from supply, price, and availability problems with vendors fairly and reasonable in order to meet delivery deadlines and customer demands.
  • Examine past buying trends, orders, quantity price-breaks and quality of materials to determine the most sensible purchase.
  • Check all orders, review inventory, create work orders as needed.
  • Coordination with Shipping & Production for shipments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone.
  • Strong word processing and computer database skills with accurate typing/ keyboarding skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
