Manufacturing Engineer

New

Adecco is assisting one of our top tier clients in a search for Manufacturing Engineer. This is a direct hire position for their Hartford, CT location. The position requires the candidate to develop robust, quality consistent processes for product fabrication. Must be able to troubleshoot all manufacturing processes.

Job Requirements:


Must have a 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or MS


Knowledge of Cad Key


Knowledge of drilling, turning, tapping, Multi-spindle


Must have CNC Lathe programming experience


Proficient in reading and interpreting Engineering drawings and Must have GT & D


6-Sigma tools and concepts


Excellent communication skills


Excellent problem-solving Techniques (8D, 7S, 5-Why, Shanin, ETC)


Excellent time management skill


Job Functions:


Skilled in tool and Fixture design


PLC Programming and electrical wiring


Design and develop capable manufacturing processes in a lean environment


Perform and lead process capability studies


Program CNC Mills and Lathes


Troubleshoot CNC processes


Must be able to problem solve


Communicate with all QA, manufacturing and assembly operations


Support goals and vision of the organization by promoting reduction to lead times and contributing to the overall experience of our customers.


Participate in company Kaizen events


Implement improvements as required


OSHA Recordable Accidents


Reduce unattended hours by 10% annually


Reduce set-up time by 5% annually


Physical Demands


Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.


Use hands to change tools and handle or feet and reach with hands and arms


Employee is required to stand or walk frequently


Specific vision abilities required by this job, close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
