Adecco is assisting a client in Redwood City, Ca in search of a Manufacturing Operator.

Machine Operator will work in a team environment where they will be expected to operate heavy manufacturing equipment. Ability to work, communicate and participate in a lean and fast changing environment. Requires interface with computer controlled systems.  Frequent troubleshooting of both mechanical and computer equipment issues. Must be able to enter data accurately and follow written instructions using the shop floor computer system. Team members are also expected to share in team activities, which include participation in meetings, giving and receiving feedback, sending and reading e-mail, housekeeping and safety activities.

Responsibilities:

Define and communicate requirements for applications and integrations:

  • Extrusion experience, is a plus
  • Basic Arithmetic Skills
  • Strong computer skills are required
  • Strong teamwork, leadership, and communication skills are a must
  • Ability to work independently or cross-functional teams
  • Flexibility to work in various areas
  • Self-starter that takes initiative
  • Forklift Experience, is a plus
  • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent, some college a plus. 
  • Must have and maintain a valid California Driver’s license
  • Must be a self-starter and possess excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, and SAP a plus).
  • SAP experience desired
  • Skills in proactive in problem prevention and resolution
  • Skill in verbal and written communication to document and present training, standard work and other
  • Demonstrated skills in attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to recommend and present ideas and solutions to groups at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to participate in group discussions and offer constructive advice and actions to assist in a team environment

 

Working Conditions:

Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Occasionally must be able to lift 50 lbs. Pull, push, grab, bend or kneel frequently. The ability to stand for an 8-hour shift. Clearly and comfortably view, interpret and process information within department. Use a computer monitor for extended periods of time during normal working hours is required.  Some assignments may require extended periods in other departments.
