Location: Princeton, New Jersey

Duration: 6 months+ contract – very likely extensions

The Marketing Automation Administrator will partner with the CRM team and will apply knowledge of marketing automation tools and database management to optimize for growth. This is a critical role and includes visibility and interaction with cross-functional teams. The position will administer the enterprise email and marketing automation system (Marketo and support Silverpop) overseeing all email and marketing automation projects/campaigns. This individual will serve as a center of excellence for email distribution, supporting the audience verticals on the marketing team and will manage all email and automation projects, help to create automation frameworks and manage connections between Marketo and Salesforces.

 

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Manage Marketo, analytics & reporting, and managing integration of the Marketo platform with Salesforce, websites, and other 3rd party applications
  • Manage administration and expanded use of Marketo as the marketing automation platform.
  • Ensure successful configuration, implementation, and maintenance of all marketing programs within Marketo
  • Work with the marketing teams to target content for email nurturing and programs that move leads through the buying process
  • Maintain Marketo sandboxes, moving functionality between the instances, and their integrations with related Salesforce sandboxes.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation including operational processes, workflows and training documents.
  • Participate in cross-functional data hygiene/governance initiatives and maintain data quality for the marketing database.
  • Track and measure marketing campaign ROI, attribution and sales effectiveness
  • Create sales and marketing KPI dashboards, and other reports for executive review
  • Participate in cross-functional data hygiene/governance initiatives and maintain data quality for the marketing database.
  • Evaluate technologies and drive insights and ideas for testing, process improvements or technology enhancements.

 

Candidates must meet the following requirements for consideration

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or business or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in email marketing and marketing automation.
  • Advanced experience with developing and maintaining Marketo integration with CRM (Salesforce preferred)
  • Marketo Database Administrator and User & Role Administration experience - Marketo Certified Expert preferred
  • Experience with CRM platforms (as a user) is required; Salesforce.com is preferred
  • Experience in standard IT processes, governance, and/or systems security is preferred
  • Excellent prioritization skills - ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Proficient in systems and technology management for marketing.
  • Analytical with the ability to analyze data, synthesize and present results
  • Demonstrated project management experience including management of projects via PM software.
  • Familiarity with agile principles / working with agile teams
  • Advanced skills with Excel and PowerPoint (other MarTech tools are a plus)
