Adecco is partnering with a global automotive industry to hire a Business development specialist.


SUMMARY:

Recommends new products and/or business through marketing activities that ensure. group’s market competitiveness and organizational excellence by performing the following duties individually or working with other leaders at Americas Business Division and HQs Division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Provides the industry perspective necessary to identify market and technology trends. This includes staying abreast of new industry trends and technologies to spot ANT opportunities. Monitors external environment and markets in the Americas, and identifies opportunities to fulfill our strategy.



Analyzes markets. Identifies, develops and evaluates market strategies, including business models, for the identified ANT opportunities. Defines needs in the market, and connects existing or developing our technologies to such opportunities sales forecasting and strategic planning to deliver the sales and profitability of such technologies and or products. Investigates business potential for new products, technologies, business model and reports finding to management.



Recommends priorities for marketing activities across all divisions and functions. Develops and executes product marketing plans that support achievement of business objectives and marketing goals within our business models. Assesses current models of business operations and develops and or recommends changes to business models when appropriate for the market.



Collaborates with key participants in relevant internal organizations involved in the decision making process to drive the internal processes required to fully assess the opportunity. Understands the fit with the core competencies of the company. Achieves buy-in within each internal organizational group and finalizes business plans.



Collects data, analyzes business developments and monitors market trends with actual figures and/or data. Regularly reports to senior management to apprise them of findings and activities.



Works closely with customer analyzing application needs. Communicates application needs to R&D Departments of ours. Coordinates development of products to meet customer’s need. Makes recommendations to customers based on feedback from R&D.



Handles special projects as directed by Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Science required. Marketing Research Master’s preferred; 3 or more years’ experience in business development or sales and marketing of technical products; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in international business (trading) is helpful. Technical background and experience of new business development activity for at least 3 years.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical information, financial reports, legal documents and general business periodicals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions or complaints from customers, vendors and various levels of employees. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment where English may be a second language. Spanish and/or Japanese a plus.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to act as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
