A successful Marketing Manager with be one that is truly a hands on leader with copyright and management experience. They will be expected to contribute to the strategic editorial direction of the brand by creating and delivering effective, compelling marketing materials and overseeing corporate communications. This individual will lead a team of marketing professionals made up of Designers, Copywriters and a Marketing Coordinator. They will also be involved in senior leadership meetings and work directly with the CEO.

Responsibilities for Marketing Managing Editor Job in Portsmouth, NH

Manage the performance of a team through selection, training and performance feedback delivery
Manage the creative services team to facilitate on-target and effective marketing creative
Provide editorial direction and create compelling copy for all marketing communications, including brochures, member communications, sales toolkits, website, etc.
Develop creative messaging campaigns that drive response and measurable results
Manage in-house and freelance writers and designers, including hiring, training, performance management, coaching and professional development
Contribute to the development of overall marketing strategies designed to generate leads and build awareness of the brand
Develop creative concepts and write copy and/or oversee design and copy development for all marketing collateral and campaigns, including direct-response materials and marketing automation programs
Manage and partner with graphic designers, web developers and HTML email designers to ensure consistent brand messaging and content synergy across all marketing collateral and digital properties
Work with senior management to develop strategic messaging for the organization and across all products and services
Write press releases as needed

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Marketing focus preferred)
8+ years of marketing copywriting experience
3+ years of leading a marketing team
Experience with Direct Response marketing (preferred)
Content development experience, including copywriting
Expertience with Salesforce.com, Google Analytics, marketing automation (Marketo) and campaign management, including measurement, reporting and analysis (nice to have)
Demonstrable understanding of current online marketing and lead generation concepts, strategy and best practice
Experience managing PPC, SEO and content/inbound programs (nice to have)
