Summary: The Master Data Management (MDM) Manager ensures proper and accurate data entry and maintenance of data in the  Oracle System. Areas of responsibility include item master and related files and screens, vendor master and related files and screens, vendor cost changes, vendor promotions, EFT set-up and maintenance, and  Vendor Portal. This position is ultimately responsible for holding all customers (internal and external) accountable for providing accurate information. Responsiveness to quick turnaround of division and Corporate requests for information is critical. The position requires strong leadership, organizational and communications skills, and knowledge of data management systems. The MDM Manager must project a positive image to customers (internal and external) and ensure fully functional operations of the  MDM System in a manner that adheres to  policies, procedures and expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ¿ Direct and manage the MDM staff in their work with internal and external customers to resolve questions, issues, etc. ¿ Train and develop the MDM Clerk, MDM Senior Clerk and MDM Lead. Develop all training documentation and hold weekly staff meetings. ¿ Manage multiple projects including Vendor Portal rollout, system enhancements, Oracle conversion, COI project, EFT project and tax ID syncing of multiple systems. ¿ Perform all system design, testing, validations and implementations for MDM. Work closely with IT on all modifications of the system. Verify accurate data entry and maintenance of all related data. Create reports for business needs. Have a complete understanding of the Oracle system as it relates to job duties and to all departments. ¿ Create, maintain and run MDM reports used for quality control. Create, maintain and run reports for other departments. Create, maintain and run reports in various accounting and record platforms such as Discoverer, Excel and Access. Manage the output of the system reports and distributions. ¿ Create and maintain internal and external manuals, processes and procedures. ¿ Responsible for making sure item brands, descriptions and UPCs are consistent between Central File and Oracle. Responsible for accurate and proper data entry and maintenance of tax ID numbers and vendors in Central File and AS400. Responsible to ensure that AS400 is in compliance with the rest of the organization for tax ID numbers. ¿ Lead the SOAR MDM Team in the implementation of Oracle. Contribute to the development, testing, validation and implementation of the customized Oracle system. Lead business group for testing and implementation of the new system. Write and complete all end-to-end testing scenarios for the business group. ¿ Apply advanced interpersonal and communication skills to motivate the workforce, relay growth opportunities, drive execution of policies/ procedures and implement corrective measures if necessary to ensure productivity levels are met. ¿ Interviews and collaborates with HR in the hiring and employment termination of personnel. Writes performance reviews, adjusts departmental activities to ensure company goals and objectives are achieved. Other Duties and Responsibilities: ¿ Maintain clean work environment, may include picking up trash and cleaning spills. ¿ Other duties may be assigned to fulfill  objectives and/or job duties and requirements may be changed as needed to meet current and future business needs. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be proficient in English and possess advanced math skills for data analysis. The employee must have a bachelor¿s degree in a relevant business discipline or the equivalent of three years of relevant experience and/or training in specialty distribution and data management, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point) is required. Experience with  inventory and procurement software, and AS400 or Oracle is preferred. Must show proficiency within 90 days of hire. The employee must have a valid driver¿s license, maintain a driving record that meets  standards and insurance eligibility requirements for excess liability. The employee must have reliable transportation, and if using a personal vehicle must maintain automobile liability coverage adequate to meet the financial responsibility laws of the state(s) in which the employee operates. The MDM Manager must meet the following qualifications and experience and skill set: ¿ Direct experience in specialty distribution or related business. ¿ Direct experience in data management or related area. ¿ Oracle and AS 400 experience is preferred ¿ Strong knowledge of inventory and procurement software is preferred, must develop such knowledge within 60 days of hire. ¿ Competent in analysis, generating creative solutions, project management, change management, quality management, costs consciousness, strategic thinking, report writing and procurement. Work Environment: The work environment is indoors in a professional office environment. The floor surfaces are carpeted in office areas and conference rooms with vinyl floor covering typical in hallways, break rooms and computer rooms. Work Hours: The work schedule is either 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, or 4 days a week, 10 hours a day. Start times vary. Work hours and shifts are subject to change depending on operating business conditions and needs. The employee may be required to work overtime, holidays or weekends. Physical and Mental Demands: Sedentary, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or greater than a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Know and follow proper office-safety protocols, dress code, grooming and personal hygiene policies. Understands, retains and applies  Shared Services and MDM knowledge to participate in Corporate initiatives and service delivery. Demonstrate expert knowledge of MDM operations for  compliance with local, state and federal requirements to optimize  organizational and employee performance. Perform advanced mathematic functions, analysis and writing skills to accomplish designated master data management functions. Demonstrate excellent ability to manage time, multiple daily/weekly/bi-weekly activities as well as monthly/quarterly/annual activities and concurrent special projects to meet distribution and corporate MDM deadlines. Supervisory Responsibilities: Oversees the MDM Supervisor, Lead, and Clerk.
