Material Planner I

Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:                 

The Material Analyst Drives material practices to ensure customer orders are completed on time. Manages and identifies areas for improvement. Identifies new suppliers, negotiates price, analyzes trends, and expedites orders within functional area of responsibilities

 

Job Duties:

  • Support Cycle Count and Consignment Program initiatives to ensure both plant and Aerospace goals are achieved
  • Push Process Stop flow to ensure on time release and on time delivery are achieved
  • Be an active participant in continuous improvement and problems solving
  • Prepares reports and other correspondence for use by Eaton SCM professionals

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable functional discipline
  • Minimum of 1-2 years in manufacturing, supply chain role, and/or production experience
  • Position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which means ALL applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR (ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communications and customer care skills
  • Sound knowledge of supply chain and purchasing reporting systems and requirements
  • Sound knowledge of Eaton commodity products and supplier resources
  • Sound knowledge of quality assurance and reporting accuracy
  • Sound knowledge and applications skills of process improvement
  • Process Certifications (CPIM)
  • High Level Computer Skills (Excel, One Note, MFGPRO)
  • Able to apply analytical and problem-solving skills, which includes a strong knowledge of supply chain and problem-solving tools
  • Possess statistical tools application skills
  • Able to drive value by defining problems and eliminating root causes, and creates supply chain solutions for process improvements
  • Exhibits expert communications for internal and external customer interactions
  • Requires proficient computer-systems knowledge and application skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel

 

 

Pay Rate:  $20.00hr - $23.00hr DOE
Shift Start/End Time:  first shift/general business hours

Length of Assignment:  3 months
