Job: MATERIAL TECHNICAL ADVISOR
Location: Erie Pa 16531
Duration: 12  Months 
Pay Rate: $28.00 Per Hour 
Hours: Second Shift: 2:30 – 11:30 Monday through Friday (however may be some weekend work – likely 10-15 hours OT per week)
 
Role Summary/Purpose
The Material Technical Advisor provides materials management expertise to the operations team. In addition, maintaining inventory accuracy, receiving, and shipping transactions. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, drive process adherence, develop and execute objectives for self and others and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.
 
Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide clear communication and technical guidance, management, GE employees, including; troubleshooting, material assistance, safety procedures, productivity and process improvements, and contract requirement clarification
  • Provide materials support to the shop floor to enable them to meet production targets on time.
  • Work as part of a cross functional team, driving a "one team" focus, dedicated to customer success within the shop?
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, OSHA work practices, and industry / site specific work rules
  • Be responsible for all shift performance & execution, customer communications and issue resolution?
  • Work with various software systems to manage material, and other systemic requirements
  • Be responsible for all aspects of warehousing and material management including fulfillment, transactional quality, inventory accuracy, ordering, expediting, receiving, stocking, distributing parts and supplies, productivity and implementing materials storage upgrades as necessary
  • Meet inventory targets and operational targets including month-end and quarter close processes for inventory
  • Meet customer schedules effectively though advanced planning and create ability to expedite shipments as required to meet deadlines?
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical discipline from an accredited college or university (Or an Associate’s Degree in Technical discipline with a minimum of 2 years of professional work experience, Or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of Operations or Military experience) Must be well versed in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
