POSITION: Materials Planner Assistant

LOCATION: Vicksburg, MS

PAY: $20 /hr

DURATION: 5 months

HOURS: First Shift

 

Job Description:

The Materials Planner Assistant is responsible for activities associated with Materials Planning, managing raw material item inventories at their optimum level in keeping with desired OTD and customer service level.

 

Analyzes data, including enterprise requirements planning information and prepares reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution.

Some activities related with the position will be:

  1. Must have good product knowledge and be able to plan day-to-day operations
  2. Following all safety rules and procedures including PPE standards and buddy checks, and addressing unsafe conditions
  3. Acts as a source of information concerning missing orders
  4. Dispatches and expedites orders for parts, sub-assemblies and final assemblies through various operations to meet scheduled requirement within plants.
  5. Releases manufacturing information to production lines and expedites through various operations to meet scheduled dates.
  6. Work with CRT to keep all records current.
  7. Performs other duties as may be assigned by Planner Supervisor to Material Manager or other top personnel.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree and/or six to twelve months related experience and/or training combined with a high school diploma: or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Vicksburg, MS will be considered.
  • Steel toe shoes

 

Preferred Qualifications: (Not required to be qualified for the role)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years manufacturing experience working as a planner or scheduler.
  • Experience working with SAP.
