Safely perform electrical and mechanical maintenance repair work, trouble shooting, routine, and preventive maintenance on all printing production lines and support equipment. Assist and train other maintenance personnel.

Determine the cause of mechanical breakdowns, repair and return equipment to proper operating order in minimum time. Completely assemble or disassemble production lines or support equipment as required for repairs or installations. Perform electrical troubleshooting on; AC & DC motor drives, distribution panels, solenoids, relays, and other related devices. Make all necessary mechanical and basic electrical adjustments to production lines or support equipment to insure proper operation. Regularly inspect production lines and support equipment and oil, grease, clean, repair, or modify same in performing preventive maintenance routines. Maintain required maintenance logs, time sheets, blue prints on other documents used in performing maintenance functions. Order spare parts, replacement parts and other materials required through group leader, stockroom, or supervisor. Communicate with shift leads and supervisor about on-going issues and the ability to provide resolution with proper documentation and root cause analysis. Work with minimal supervision in a team environment. Complete all required safety work orders and report back to supervisor upon completion Follow all safety guidelines for lockout / tag out set forth by department, plant and Berry Plastics. Maintain clean, safe work area, by being efficient neat and organized ( 5S ). Perform other tasks as directed by supervisor Communicate and work effectively and positively with all co-workers.

1. High school diploma or equivalent (AAS in Mechanical/Electrical field preferred)
2. 2-5 years industrial maintenance experience
3. Must have good theoretical and applied understanding of mechanical and electrical theory, production line control, instrumentation and the manufacturing process.
4. Able to read blue prints, specifications and building plans.
5. Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
6. Able to organize time effectively.
7. Able to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment.
8. Able to work overtime as required.
9. Requires attention to detail.
