Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer

Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a Direct Hire Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer Job in Longmont, CO for our client who specializes in the design and manufacture of vacuum measurement and control instrumentation. The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the development of new processes and equipment in production as new products are released as well as support for existing processes, tooling and equipment. Our client seeks a candidate with 5 + years of experience working in a mechanical/electrical manufacturing environment with responsibility for all phases of manufacturing engineering support.

Responsibilities for the Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer Job in Longmont, CO include:






Implementation of new products and technologies into existing cleanroom
Support for existing Convection Enhanced Pirani gauging processes, tooling and equipment.
Support for existing Hot Cathode Ionization gauging processes, tooling and equipment.
Working with sales and marketing, purchasing, manufacturing and engineering personnel dealing with daily issues.
Well versed in technical writing.
Design and support for production test fixtures. Many of these have been designed in house using SolidWorks 3D CAD.
Design, implementation and support of other production test and measurement equipment.
Technical support for RMA’s returned from the field. This will require strong reasoning skills and root cause analysis to identify defects and remove the root cause of failures to prevent reoccurrence.
Interfacing with purchasing and engineering for vendor and component selection and qualification
Participating in On-Site customer audits for critical suppliers within the supply chain.
Supervising 1-2 Technicians who will report to this position. You will be responsible for providing direction and feedback for daily activities as well as annual reviews.
Support for ISO 9001:2015 Quality System







Qualifications:

BS in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent or at least 5 years experience working in a mechanical/electrical manufacturing environment where you were responsible for all phases of manufacturing engineering support.
Must be a hands-on mechanical person where you will be responsible for designing, building, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining the equipment.
Microsoft Office skills including WORD, EXCEL, ACCESS, PROJECT, VISIO
Familiarity working with ERP Business systems as it relates to work order processing, inventory controls, documentation controls.
