Medical Accounts Receivable Coordinator

Candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, possess strong multitasking abilities, and be able to work in a collaborative atmosphere. Job duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Reviewing daily clearinghouse rejections, correcting errors, and resubmitting to clearinghouse
  • Follow up for outstanding insurance balances
  • Researching and filing appeals for insurance denials for all providers
  • Balancing and completing daily deposit reports
  • Work closely with other Accounts Receivable team members on daily tasks
  • Answer insurance calls from patients or insurance companies
  • Work with management to research reimbursement and billing issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • Electronic Medical Record proficiency
  • Previous experience with medical accounts receivable
  • Basic coding and medical terminology experience
  • Insurance Verification
  • Knowledge of North Carolina major payor policies
  • Excellent communication skills
