POSITION: Medical Billing
LOCATION: Cary, NC 27513
START DATE: 4/23/2018 or ASAP
Duration: 7/23/2018 (good possibility assignment may be extended)
Pay Rate: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour / Adecco W2 (depending on experience)
Work Schedule: 9am-6pm, M-F

Position Summary
• Performs cash/payment posting and EOB analysis on a detailed line item basis, ensuring payments and adjustments are properly applied and that payments reconcile to EOB’s received by remitters. Escalates unidentified payments and incomplete claims appropriately.
• Processes payments received from a variety of sources including multiple insurance plans/types, 3rd parties, and patients.
• Ensures deductibles, coinsurance, copays, denials and/or other charges are properly applied
• Researches payments received, but not identified to establish correct account to post payments.
• As well as other office duties, - responding to patient calls, email etc

The ideal candidate possesses the following knowledge skills and abilities:
• Strong knowledge of EOBs/ERAs and billing claim and payment cycles for medical accounts
• Working knowledge and hands on experience of medical reimbursement with some medical billing background
• Working knowledge of appropriate governmental and commercial coding systems and reimbursement associated with such codes
• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, attention to detail and follow-through
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to make decisions regarding sensitive information
• Understanding of HIPAA requirements
• Strong PC skills that include familiarity with Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Products (including Word and Excel) Internet Explorer and web-based applications
• Good understanding of accounting principles and applications such as Accounts Receivable posting and patient billing
• 10-key by touch
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of high school and a minimum of 2 years work experience as a Medical Cash/Payment Poster and EOB Analyst.

9am-6pm, M-F

Our client expects all employees to adhere to a strict 90-Day probationary period; all employees are expected to be in full attendance within this 90-day period. Tardiness, call-outs and no-shows will not be tolerated and will result in the assignment ending for the representative if this becomes a problem.
Our client expects all employees to be flexible with scheduling and be available to work any hours between 8:00am – 9:00pm Monday-Friday.
Our client expects all employees to achieve the Core Metrics established for the department as it relates to Performance, Productivity and Quality.
