SUMMARY:
This position is to support the increased call volume and Certificate of Coverage changes. This position is frontline role answering member and provider calls for Medica members.


Hours are 8AM to 5PM, Monday thru Friday.

Position Description: The Intake Coordinator for Medica Behavioral Health is in a call center environment that reports directly to the Intake Manager.

Will be responsible for providing expertise and customer service support to members, customers, and/or providers. Direct phone-based customer interaction to answer and resolve a wide variety of inquiries.

Primary Responsibilities:

Answer and respond to incoming calls from members and providers
Utilize multiple systems to attempt to resolve the issue on the call
Route issues unable to be resolved to the appropriate team for resolution
Respond to customers in a polite and courteous manner, projecting patience, empathy, caring, and sincerity in voice tone and words
Establish rapport over the phone quickly, and remain positive and upbeat
Outstanding attendance record is critical, punctual adherence to scheduled work start times, breaks, and lunches
Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards
Utilize any 'down' time for completing administrative tasks
Demonstrate strong data entry skills and proficiency use of a PC


MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

Data entry/typing 50 WPM is required
High School or Equivalent (BA preferred)
Mental health education/experience desired.
Ability to work Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
Professional demeanor required
Basic tasks are completed without review by others
Supervision/guidance is required for higher level tasks
Apply knowledge/skills to a range of moderately complex activities
1-2 years of call center customer service is strongly preferred
1 year of experience handling escalated issues is strongly preferred
Microsoft Word, Windows and Outlook are strongly preferred
Previous experience working in the Medical or Insurance Field is desired



This is a 4+ month contract opportunity with possibility of extension and full-time conversion.
