Mortgage Underwriter

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Remote Mortgage Underwriter. EST or CT work hours required.

  • Type: Fulltime (40 hours / week) contract
  • Length: 8+ months
  • Pay rate based on experience – Adecco W2
  • Shift/Hours: 8A – 5P
  • Pay rate $41/hr
  • Responsibilities for this Underwriter job include, but are not limited to:

  • Performs a wide range of duties related to the underwriting of either residential mortgages utilizing FNMA and FHLMC guidelines.
  • Analyzes AUS findings, supporting loan documentation, verifies completeness and accuracy of file, clears conditions, and renders a decision within established credit guidelines and compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicates decisions to loan originators and processors.
  • Manages application pipeline and expected service levels.

    Qualifications for this Underwriter job:

  • Requires bachelor's degree in Business or Finance or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 3 years experience in mortgage underwriting.
  • Requires strong analytical skills, organization skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
  • Requires attention to detail and the ability to make time sensitive decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven computer skills.
