Our client, a large healthcare pharmacy provider, is seeking an Consultant or Program Manager for Enterprise Insights, Multicultural/ Multilingual Research.

Pay Rate: depending upon experience
W2 Contract: 6 + months (starting July 15, 2019)
Schedule: Mon to Fri   8:30 am to 5 pm
 
 


Overview
 
Our client is looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring that everything they do and resonates with the entire US population: passionate about helping people from all races and ethnicities, primarily but not exclusively African-Americans, Hispanics, and Chinese-Americans, on their path to better health and passionate about inspiring and guiding their colleagues to think creatively about how best to make meaningful differences in the lives of those audiences.
 
In this role, you will champion the interests of multicultural/ multilingual audiences across the US, educating and encouraging the marketing, sales, and product teams to identify and evaluate potential opportunities to engage more effectively with those audiences. For example, you may explore ways to help the teams develop closer relationships with churches in the African-American community and you may also help to determine how best to engage with the clinics that are the foundation for healthcare for much of the Cuban-American community in Miami.
 
You will highlight the factors that influence attitudes and behaviors across a range of races and ethnicities, noting regional nuances. You will challenge stereotypes. 

You will work within the Enterprise Insights team, functioning as part of a community of research professionals who not only help each other, but are also passionate about the future of retail, healthcare, and the voice of the customer. You will have regular contact with the VPs and line executives in the business, sales, and marketing. The insights and recommendations you generate will impact the insurance and healthcare experience of almost 10 million members, prospects, caregivers, plan sponsors, distribution partners (brokers and agents), and community-based organizations. 
You will also assist this client’s employees to play a greater role in helping multicultural/ multilingual audiences on the path to better health. 

This Enterprise Insights team oversees and executes research projects with a total budget in low seven figures annually.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Be an indispensable strategic partner to product development, sales, and marketing leadership by applying deep knowledge of human behavior (including members, prospects, caregivers, and key influencers) across a range of multicultural/ multilingual audiences, primarily but not limited to African-American, Hispanic (both English and Spanish language dominant), and Chinese-American, to the Medicare, Medicaid, Public & Labor health plan, Front Store, and Pharmacy categories to inspire and guide the development of innovative solutions that drive business results. 50%
Be a thought leader and champion the role consumer understanding can play in identifying opportunities to show how the client can make a meaningful difference within multicultural/ multilingual communities and with individuals, such as tackling the Social Determinants of Health.
 
 Play a key role in the process of developing and delivering on annual learning agendas. Ensure the wide distribution of intelligence and insights: proactively connect key partners with relevant insights. 30%
Educate the business and marketing on existing knowledge and resources. 10%
Drive continued innovation in the acquisition of new insights. 10%

Experience should include:
  • Track record of helping healthcare and/ or retail companies succeed with multicultural/ multilingual audiences
  • Curiosity about how best to improve lives within the multicultural/ multilingual segments of the population, specifically those who are most vulnerable and Seniors 
  • Deep experience playing a leadership role in assisting the business and marketing to develop product and marketing solutions 
  • Experience developing truly impactful insights based on deep understanding of the operational and economic realities of the business
  • Ability to share a compelling vision and champion individual projects, leveraging excellent oral and written presentation skills and effective stakeholder management, including senior executives
  • Experience managing productive client relationships (including internal “clients,”) with a track record of helping win business and being an indispensable consultant to senior clients and an inspiring presence to mid-level and junior staff
  • Strong project management skills, including successful budget management, procurement, and seamlessly bridging internal team members and vendor partners
  • Proven success articulating a vision for change and making it a reality, ideally within a large organization
  • Strong storytelling skills - the ability to review a presentation and spot inconsistencies in data, story, formatting is essential.
  • PowerPoint and document management skills are crucial
  • Careful, thorough work is table stakes
  • Track record of developing and leading productive workshops
  • Spanish fluent is desirable but not essential
Education:   Four-year college degree preferred.
