Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting experienced candidates for a direct hire NDT Technician and Inspector Job in Erie, PA for manufacturer of quality machined military components. The Non Destructive Testing Technician and Quality Technician will have experience in Magnetic Particle (MP), Liquid Penetrant (LP or PT) and Ultrasound (UT) Non-Destructive Testing, level I preferred, with the ability to gain their Level II certifications. This position also does quality inspection using a variety of instruments including calipers, micrometers, etc. This is a first shift, union position, 48 hours per week, 6 am to 4 pm with a shorter day on Friday. The pay scale starts at $18.45 hourly rate plus shift differential after 3 pm and increases after completion of all levels of NDT certifications. In addition, our client offers excellent benefits and profit sharing that can add significantly to your annual income.

Responsibilities for the NDT Technician and Inspector Job in Erie, PA:

Will conduct non-destructive testing including LP/PT, MP, and UT Testing (Magnetic Particle, Liquid Penetrant and Ultrasound)
Will conduct quality inspections using a variety of instruments.
Will follow set protocol and standards and ensure compliance.

Qualifications:


Successful Certification as a Level II UT, MT & PT, required. Certification will require on the job training as well as class room training at another location.
Must satisfy ASNT–SNT-TC-1A vision requirements
Minimum of 5 years experience in inspecting close tolerance machined parts
Must be able to read complex drawings
Experience with dimensional hand tools (calipers, micrometers, machinist rules) required, experience utilizing computerized dimensional tooling, set-up and tolerance helpful.
A background as a Machinist is helpful and familiarity with military requirements a plus
Must have NDT process knowledge
