Adecco is assisting an organization in their search for an experienced New Product Development Manager in the Duluth/Superior area. This person will report directly to the Director of Engineering. The position plays a critical role through the coordination of new products for prototyping and alpha production runs, thorough new products testing protocol and documentation supported by statistical data and accurate data. Responsibilities include: part sourcing/ prototyping time line management/ assembly of new products to test for Form, Fit and Function/ thorough testing of new products/ documentation of new products testing results with summarized data packaged for Sale and Marketing. Responsibilities for this New Product Development Manager job include:


  • -Coordinate new products for prototyping and introduction to production through prototyping/alpha runs

  • -Send prints of new parts to quote for prototyping outside of in-house prototyping capability

  • -Testing backed by statistical data

  • -Hold vendors accountable for timely receipt of part samples in accordance with New Product Launch Timeline

  • -Assures that quality, capable vendors are chosen for new product raw materials and/or new product production

  • -Thoroughly tests and documents new product performance prior to release of products into the market-documentation to be provided 14 days before sales samples are released to the field

  • -Supports new products are delivered on time and within cost targets

  • -Play a key role in securing, testing and approving cost efficient, high quality tooling for all new

  • -Use computer aided design/drafting (SolidWorks CAD) equipment and software to develop and coordinate purchasing of prototyping parts and answer initial questions on Production parts

  • -Create and revise production drawings as requested by Director of Engineering

  • -Coordinate the production and or purchase of manufacturing jigs and fixtures

  • -Implement hand-on solutions to product changes and implementation

  • -Additional project work as assigned



  • Qualifications:


  • -Bachelor's Degree in related field

  • -3-5 years of experience in project management

  • -Experience in the manufacturing industry is required

  • -Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • -Ability to work well with a team and independently

  • -Ability to manage time effectively



  • This position is expected to be full time, Monday-Friday, with the possibility of over time. Salary will be based off experience and ranges between $50,000-$60,000 annually.
