Non-Profit Writing Development Associate

Adecco is helping on the largest non-profits in their search for a Development Associate to help with writing proposal and grants for their top donors. This is a 12 month contract in their New York City location. Please Apply Today if you meet the following qualifications! 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

-  Prepare and present compelling proposals, stewardship documents and other reports.
- Liaise with donors and internal stakeholders to ensure that their needs/expectations are met in a timely and professional manner.
- Serve as a thought partner and fundraising strategist.
- Track and monitor team performance. 
- Enterprising professional ready to work with top tier corporate/foundation partners in a complex, fast-paced and results oriented work environment. 


Support multiple fundraising and project management assignments simultaneously, including: 

• Quickly compose, edit and personalize compelling presentation/proposals, reports, and concept papers for donors/[prospects and internal stakeholders 
o Must be able to absorb and synthesize complex information, and quickly write, edit and design presentations that are simple, clear and compelling 
• Prepare meeting briefs and donor call reports, personalize thank you letters, craft concise, executive oriented emails and prepare weekly/quarterly productivity reports among other related writing assignments 
• Communicate directly with donors and ensure their complete satisfaction 
• Enter all donor interactions into SalesForce and successfully navigate other internal systems to extract and analyze information 
• Simultaneously manage multiple projects with varying deadlines. Must be comfortable working through ambiguity to complete projects independently 
• Support other duties as assigned

5. The ideal candidate will seek and accept direction, obtain clarity before taking action, complete their work promptly and resolve questions independently. The candidate will have superb writing and editing skills and pay close, consistent attention to detail in all facets of their work. 

6. We seek a sophisticated professional able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Candidates with advanced level client management, sales, marketing/communications and/or business development/fundraising experience are strongly preferred. 


Education: Bachelor’s degree required 

Experience: Minimum of five or more years of experience working in a professional office setting for large-scale businesses/nonprofits. The candidate will preferably have a strong interest in a sales, development, client management and/or communications. 

Related Skills: Excellent computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency. Experience working with SalesForce and software systems. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
