Operations Assembly Worker

As an Operations Assembly Worker at a local client you will operate production machines ensuring that manufacturing lines have enough product to continue running, complete job quality and production reporting, and ensuring that all quality guidelines are met. You will be responsible for other production duties as assigned by your production supervisor.


Responsibilities for Operations Assembly Worker jobs include but are not limited to:

  • Follows all plant safety policies
  • Follows all plant ISO / TS 16949 & ISO-14001 policies and instructions
  • Performs all work with a work order
  • Performs repair to mold tools this includes the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical system of the mold
  • Performs repair to mechanical machine components
  • Performs PM work to mold tools this includes the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical system of the mold
  • Makes modifications to mold tools and mechanical machine components
  • Builds new tool components and mechanical machine components
  • Keeps work area clean and organized
  • Cover Shift Lead during absence or vacation as required.
  • Any tasks deemed necessary by Supervision/Management.

You should meet the following qualifications to be considered for an Operations Assembly Worker job:
  • Proficient at using hand tools
  • Proficient at using Fork Trucks and General Lifting Equipment
  • Proficient at welding tool steel
  • Proficient at using manual machining tools (mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, etc)
  • Proficient at using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Tool and Die Maker with 5 years’ experience
  • Ability to read and understand tool drawings to order materials & components
  • Ability to read and understand tool drawings to build new tooling components
  • Ability to read and understand tool drawings to repair tools
  • Ability to read and understand tool drawings to develop solution to failures (tool & product)
  • Ability to read and understand tool drawings to modify tools to use common components
  • The Tool & Die Maker must be able to perform job functions in parallel. (Multi-tasking)
  • The Tool & Die Maker must be self-supervising
