What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed on what they will be doing day to day)

1. Oversees and manage daily workflow in the patient access department to ensure accurate and timely team performance.
2. Assigns staff responsibilities, ensures accountability for quality, compliance, and metrics success, and evaluates individual performance.
3. Develops and maintains staffing schedules to ensure appropriate team coverage.
4. Works closely with the Director and peer Supervisor to evaluate identify and implement performance improvement initiatives.
5. Performs other related duties as required.

What type of education will this candidate need - Require one year of supervisory experience and two years’ experience in admitting, registration or medical front office. Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of the admitting process and functional workings of the admitting department. Familiar with insurance terminology, managed care insurance, and experience working with federal, state, and local agencies.
Is this person part of a team – This person will be part of the Patient Access Team.
