Responsibilities for this Operations Specialist job include, but are not limited to:

The Operations Analyst will be part of the clients' New Accounts team within the MLBTC Services and Operations group. The group supports the services and operations functions for Merrill Lynch Bank and Trust Company (Cayman), an offshore banking platform which provides multi-currency credit and banking offerings to international Merrill Lynch Wealth Management clients. Products offered through MLBTC include securities-based loans, foreign exchange products, deposits, and letters of credit. The MLBTC New Accounts team primarily supports the client/account onboarding and account maintenance functions for MLBTC. The Analyst role will support the team with day-to-day functions and ad-hoc reviews and projects. The Analyst will partner with Merrill Lynch Financial Advisors and Advisor teams, Credit Underwriting and Credit Risk, Legal/Compliance, among others, to facilitate the client account-opening process with MLBTC. The Analyst will be responsible for handling new credit and banking facility requests, reviewing new-account requirements and client documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications for this Operations Specialist job include but are not limited to:

  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel
  • This candidate must have the ability to work effectively with Financial Advisors and Wealth Management Bankers to facilitate quick turn-around times for closings
  • Desired skills include 2-3 years' experience in a corporate environment which may include:
  • Understanding procedures
  • Quickly learning processes
  • Working on projects (e.g., remediation work)
