Optical Technician II

Hours: 1st shift, shift begins at 6am-2:30pm
Monday - Friday
Potential OT pending project needs

Polishing General Duties:

Manufacturing tasks in compliance with work instructions
Fabrication of mechanical / optical components
Ability to read drawings
Assembling optical systems / mechanical sub-systems
Inspecting / Testing optics and optical systems
Performing calculations, quality tests, inspection
Interact effectively in a team environment
Possess exceptional fine motor skills
Strong work ethic
Possess basic math skills
Technical curiosity and competence
Have good computer skills

Job Requirements:

Hand/eye coordination / manual dexterity / attention to detail
PC skills and ability to operate electronic equipment
An AS degree or equivalent experience in optics or other technical field is preferred

Working Conditions:

Temperature controlled environments. May require working in a clean room.
Able to lift up to 15 pounds
Willingness to work overtime

PPE - Candidate must provide safety shoes at own expense (overshoes will be provided if candidate does not have own safety shoes). Standard safety glasses will be provided.
