Order Processors

ROLE:

Assign work orders and coordinate daily tasks for order processors.  Provide back up for other clerical positions and the Order Processing Group Leader as needed.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for recording the daily attendance in order processing.
  • Facilitate and conduct training of new associates in all functions related to order processing and janitorial.
  • Organize the flow of and assign orders by which they are received based on priority level and urgency.
  • Assist in verifying and checking inventory issues on orders and in primes.
  • Act as a “utility” associate to back up any functionality within the order processing department as needed.
  • Pick and pack samples on a daily basis.
  • Ensure any special instructions are appropriately identified and communicated to supervisors/lead or associate processing orders.
  • Analyze and monitor orders for completeness according to order processing procedures and adhere to the rotation.
  • Determine LTL and small parcel orders and review the appropriate carrier based on pickup times.
  • Ensure order processors have the correct materials to complete the job or task assigned to them prior to working.
  • Monitor and coordinate the collection of cardboard and housekeeping checklist.
  • Request and coordinate replenishment between departments.
  • Coordinate and follow up with the completion of customers, orders and shipments.
  • Be efficient with their time and proactively helping others.
  • Prioritize and handle multiple tasks and independent projects in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Have the ability to work in a fast-paced and professional environment.
  • Assist in monitoring all RF guns on a daily basis.
  • Schedule pick-ups for Sears, K-Mart & Fred Meyer.
  • Maintain flexibility in work schedule to best support business needs. Participate in clerical schedule rotation.
  • Perform random audits on orders and primes.
  • Assist all departments as needed.
  • Maintain consistent and acceptable attendance, productivity, and quality standards.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

EDUCATION:

  • High School diploma or its equivalent.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Six (6) months or more experience in a clerical or team lead role or in a position similar in scope and responsibility is preferred.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in assigned tasks on a consistent basis.
  • Fundamental knowledge of and well-practiced in the disciplines of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions both oral and written.
  • Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
  • Exhibit and maintain positive, solutions-oriented attitude toward work and co-workers.
  • Must be able to use basic packaging tools and equipment (i.e. pallet truck, computer, printer, labeler, tape gun, razor knife, impulse sealer, basic hand tools, etc.).

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Temperature controlled office with fluorescent lighting and nominal noise level;
  • Warehouse/distribution floor with ventilation, climate-control system, moderate lighting, and moderate noise level;
  • Sit-down trucks, reach trucks, pickers, pallet jacks, etc. frequent warehouse/distribution floor in and around common throughways.

Must be able to effectively perform the following on a frequent basis:

  • Move, sit, hear, discern, speak, and see;
  • Use finger dexterity to type, adjust, move, handle, perform, operate, install, attach, remove, apply, grasp, manipulate, and measure;
  • Frequently move, transport, rotate, reach, pull, twist, adjust position, and push;
  • Occasionally stoop, bend, crouch;
  • Push, pull, and maneuver a pallet jack with product load on a regular basis; and
