Pack Out Supervisor

(Monday – Friday; 40 hours per week per person)

Adecco is currently searching for a Pack Out Supervisor to oversee 25+ person staff in daily work activities: Pack Out Specialists, Team Leads, Assistant Leads, Material Handlers and Forklift Operators.  The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple projects at same time under stressful conditions.  This function is a critical part of a large capability organization R&D operation located in Mason, Ohio. The size or the cost of a study may be small, but the impact of a success or failure can be immense.  Consumer, clinical, and stability studies can determine the course of a research project or initiative, assist the company in making financial commitments to a specific product, or help to determine the feasibility of a new process transformation.  



  • Pack-Out:  Packing out of studies per the batch records.
  • Warehouse Management:  Owning the inventory for the One Health, Beauty, and Fabric & Home Care businesses.  Movement of Materials for studies from start up through completion.
  • Housekeeping:  Performing daily housekeeping and cleaning tasks necessary according to established SOP’s.
  • Purchasing:  Purchasing Pack-Out supplies to complete the various study pack-outs.
  • Label Making:  Printing label and other printed media for Pack-Out studies. Printed materials will be created by P&G employees, contractor will simply be responsible for printing requested number of copies.



  • Overall responsibility for contractor performance and results relative to the systems and job requirements.  They are the single point, and accountable resource.
  • Must have thorough understanding of GMP, QA and Safety protocol for a lab warehouse environment and ability to train and coach staff.
  • Establishes a skilled staff and manages their performance to deliver the requested work. 
  • Provides a system for measuring employee/project productivity with specific goals and measures.
  • Coordinates Contractor employee work schedules (staffing, work hours, vacations, layoffs, recalls, lunch and break periods, etc.), crew placements and work assignments such that production and cost commitments are met.
  • Accurately records the hours worked by Contractor employees and signs daily/weekly time sheets, as necessary.  Provides weekly billing information to client in electronic format.
  • Meets regularly with the Client Operations Manager and Production Leader to learn what results are needed.
  • Sources skilled labor pool capable of executing job requirements with minimal oversight.
  • Manages employee out of office schedules to prevent impact to study goals.  Out of office should be managed to less than 5%.
  • Ensures Contractor employees understand job requirements.
  • Handles all disciplinary matters involving Contractor employees.
  • Provides Operations Manager with summary of labor hours monthly, by role, expended for each study.
  • Ensures all Contractor employees, including new employees, are trained in proper work methods, Safe Practices, Quality Assurance methods and equipment operating procedures. 
  • Ensures all employees hired are specifically trained for the role they are given.  Training is to be formal to include protocols to test for knowledge and mastery of the material prior to allowing performance of a task.  Training must be documented, maintained and available for viewing by external auditors upon request.


  • At any time, the contract lead should be able to define the status of training and capability of all personnel on site and have documented systems in place to ensure no one is permitted to execute a role they are not trained and qualified to execute.


  • Contractor to develop and document all site work procedures utilized in the execution of their daily work.  Documentation to include all protocols and tasks to ensure the quality of work expected is executed and all deviations are reported.  Formal documented systems will be expected for all work and tasks the contractor is asked to perform. 

Must possess:

  • Prior Supervisory or leadership experience in GMP Lab
  • Experience with GMP, QA and Safety processes
  • Ability to coach and develop employees
  • Excellent: interpersonal skills, communication, customer service and organizational skills.
  • Very strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel, required and the ability to learn and work with MS SharePoint
  • Knowledge of CISPro a major plus
  • Ability to work within a multilayered and stressful organization.
  • Self-motivated – working with a sense of urgency
  • Accountable to business needs and success
  • Science or Business degree preferred

This is a long term indefinite contract role with 12 paid holidays and 10 paid vacation days. 

Pay is weekly. This position is hourly and pays $27-28 an hour.
