POSITION: Paralegal

LOCATION: Woonsocket, Rhode Island

DURATION: 2 months (Contract Only) (Covering for an Employee on Leave)

HOURS: 8:30am-5:00pm

PAY RATE: $34/hr.

 

*Must be available to work by 7/30/18*

 

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

 

This position provides administrative support to 3-4 attorneys in the labor and employment section of the Legal Department.  Candidates must have executive administrative experience in a legal setting either corporate or law firm.   
 

Duties include answering incoming calls and greeting visitors; processing incoming mail; scheduling and maintaining calendars of appointments, meetings and conference calls; booking travel arrangements and processing expenses; opening new matters and assisting with case management through an electronic billing system; responsibility for sending and maintaining litigation holds; gathering paper and electronic documents; providing reports on various aspects of litigation; and performing other administrative duties as requested. This position will also provide back-up support for others in the legal department as needed.

 

Must Haves:

  • Executive administrative experience in a legal setting either corporate or law firm
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and able to handle a busy workload in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with outside counsel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint is required
  • Ability to handle and prioritize among multiple simultaneous projects
  • Experience with litigation legal practice
  • Experience with an electronic billing system

 

Education           

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an American Bar Association approved institution required
