Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill an Administrative Assistant job in Lafayette, IN. This is a term role through December 2018. Responsibilities for this Administrative Assistant job include:

Job tasks include organizing meetings, taking minutes, writing memos and short website posts, responding to inquiries of external partners, international visitors and affiliated faculty.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
Strong English oral and written communication, with ability to compose correspondence (minutes, official letters, short memos)
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, outlook, powerpoint) and/or Mac mail/calendar effectively to coordinate tasks, team members
Ability to handle administrative processes like travel (planning, preparation, and reimbursement), event organization (room booking, purchase requests, participant reimbursement, printing material like award certificates, and binders, budget monitoring), participant monitoring (e.g. sign-ups to events)
Ability to perform Internet Search (using internet browsers like Firefox, Google Chrome)
Ability to handle virtual collaboration using new technologies or willingness to learn those technologies (e.g. google calendar, skype, drobox, Linkedin, facebook, etc.)
Professionalism in dealing with students, faculty, staff and external stakeholders from other countries
Strong time management skills with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail
Motivated individual with ability to efficiently multi task, handle interruptions and meet deadlines
Open to an entrepreneurial and community-driven culture

A plus:

Excited about digital technologies (social media, mobile apps, etc.)

Interest in supporting the team in proof reading of scientific articles (e.g. APA style knowledge)

Additional information:

This is a part-time position representing approximately 25 to 30 hours per week; hours can be designed flexible depending on personal needs. Pay is $14 an hour.

There is the potential to be promoted after 6 to 9 months (either as higher paid administrative assistant or operations manager); full-time position also an option
