Job Title: Parts Intercept Technician Specialists

Location: Louisville, KY

Type: 12+ Months 

Hours: Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  

Pay Rate: 18.00$ / HR


Description of Work


The Parts Intercept Technician Specialist will be working in an office environment and is responsible for operating within GE based computer systems to identify problem calls based on specific keywords with the potential to order parts for repairs prior to the Service Technician first visits to the consumer’s home.  The Parts Intercept Technician Specialist will identify needed parts while troubleshooting repairs by reviewing parts diagrams which are displayed within computer programs as well as illustrated parts catalogs. After review, the Parts Intercept Technician Specialist will call the consumer to verify issue and appliance make/model, and place order for the part on behalf of the technician. 

Strong call center with mechanical aptitude is a plus


Essential Responsibilities

  • Identify future-scheduled service calls with potential for Parts Intercept based on call description
  • Call consumer to verify issue and appliance’s make/model number
  • Research and order appropriate part for repair
  • Work with Field Service Technicians and management to drive first time call completion
  • Meet productivity and efficiency goals as established
  • Prompt and regular attendance
  • Comply with GE policies
    • Appliance repair experience is preferred. 
    • Technical (mechanical) aptitude & experience is required. 
    • Call center experience is required.
    • Looking for motivated self-starters.


  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Technical or mechanical experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong PC skills
  • Self-directed

Desired Characteristics

  • Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of electricity and schematics
  • Customer service experience
