Adecco’s Executive Recruitment team is assisting a top client in the waste and recycling industry in the search of a Product Manager to join their team in Bolingbrook. This role is a direct hire, permanent placement opportunity with great benefits and experience in the automotive sector.

In this role, you will work closely with the Executive Vice President of the Parts department to select and manage the product assortment for assigned product lines. The Product Manager works collaboratively with the supply chain, marketing, sales and customer service functions to maximize company profitability.

The Product Manager is ultimately accountable for the organization’s product portfolio and the associated margin, while their main duties would relate to product lifecycle management.

Portfolio Management- Analyze and manage current product inventory, and purchase new inventory.
Sourcing- Conduct spend analysis and supply market analysis, determine requirements through identifying and quantifying, develop category strategy, select suppliers and negotiate agreements, plan and manage transition to new supply arrangements, and manage supplier performance through review.
New Product Development- Generate product ideas that meet company objectives, analyze and evaluate product ideas, evaluate product ideas based on quantitative factors, develop product, test product through experiments, commercialize product to market, and manage the lifecycle of product to end-of-life.
Marketing, Sales & Customer Service Support- must work hand-in-hand with each department to establish product knowledge companywide and maximize profitability to grow business.
Organizational Development- expect to foster a high-performing, results-oriented, collaborative organization through encouragement, development, support and example.


Cross-functional, dynamic leader with strong bias toward delivering results and providing customers with highest level of service.
Understanding the functions of heavy duty truck systems and refuse handling equipment.
Ability to develop and implement programs.
Ability to analyze transaction and market data, establish baselines, analyze customer and product economics.
Ability to develop and interpret technical specifications for products and suppliers.
Familiarity with alternative pricing and promotional models to drive sales and growth.
Attention to detail and ability to work in fast-moving, team-oriented environment
Effective interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
Comfort with Epicor Prophet 21 ERP.
