JOB TITLE: Parts Processor I
STATUS: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Production Manager
Pay for these positions is between $13 - $14/hr. Shift hours would typically be daytime, and we can be flexible, during training they'd typically work 7 - 3:30.

Summary:

Under general supervision, carry out a variety of tasks in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment to prepare parts or subassemblies for the next step in the production process including outside processing (anodizing, powder coating), internal assembly and/or packaging.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

� Manually remove machining imperfections from parts utilizing the operator�s skill and knowledge to efficiently perform the manual blending, polishing and creation of edge breaks on precision components.
� Perform processing steps including, but not limited to, graining, hardware installation, masking, deburring, and cleaning.
� Prepare chemical process solutions and baths for pre-treating and chemical cleaning of parts.
� Inspect manufactured components for conformance to specifications.
� Ensure that standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work including tool setup and operation, process verification, product inspection, documentation, and material handling.
� Operate hand and air tools for parts processing; operate forklift as required.
� Ensure documentation, including certifications, work orders, process sheets, etc. are kept in order and filled out completely.
� Maintain safe work environment conditions by observing processing employee practices and correcting them when necessary.
� Ensure that parts processing adheres to quality standards.


Secondary Duties:

� Assist Shop Floor Control with tasks, such as, cutting material and overall facility care and maintenance.
� Assist Receiving and Materials Management with tasks such as: loading and unloading material; collecting scrap material for recycling.
� Assist in inventory cycle counts.
� Assist with packaging of customer orders.
� Deliver and pick up of parts and materials.

Qualifications:

� High School Diploma or equivalent.
� Strong attention to detail.
� Basic math or industrial mathematics desired.
� Good written and verbal skills.
� Basic computer skills.
� Ability to read technical drawings.
� Ability to set use or setup various measuring devices.
� Strong problem solving skills.

Work Setting

� A machining environment with frequent noise in an indoor seasonally air-conditioned and heated environment. Combination of standing/sitting for extended periods; fine motor skills with frequent hand and arm movement; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear protection) may be required. May operate moving equipment (forklift) as required to perform essential job functions.
