Payroll Analyst

Payroll Specialist with 5+ years experience in processing high volume daily and biweekly payroll in a multi-company/state environment, end-to-end processing, including data auditing/analysis, data entering, and corrections for wage & tax reporting and compliance. Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. 

Normally receives minimal instruction and is able to resolve complex problems, with little management guidance. Individual should have excellent communication skills, with an ability to follow both oral and written procedures. Requires a service oriented person to provide excellent high-touch customer service, both to internal/external Cisco employees, and 3rd Party business partners (e.g. Sedgwick, State Support Disbursement Units, Taxing jurisdictions, etc.). 

Additional required skills include; should be experienced with processing payroll Tax Levy, Support Orders, Wage Order Garnishments, in addition to calculating manual off-cycle payments, overpayment collections, and manual earnings gross-ups. Assist on Special Projects as needed. 
• Five (5) years of automated US payroll experience a must (preferably on ADP-ProBusiness). 
• Position requires the ability to audit and process a database of approximately 4000+ employees. 
• Will additionally be a cross-functional back-up processor covering an additional database of approximately 4000 employees when team partner is out unexpected. 

Payroll duties may include but are not limited to the coordination and auditing of the following tasks: 
• New Hire employees pay adjustment 
• Leaves of Absence pay adjustment 
• Termination checks 
• Deceased employee payments 
• Tax Levy, Support Orders, and Garnishments 
• Manual off-cycle checks 
• Manual earning gross-ups 
• Collections (from overpayments) 
• Qtrly Federal/State Wage & Tax adjustment & corrections 
• Knowledge of payroll accounting policies, practices and systems 
• Process Federal and State Withholding forms 
• Process Federal and State Lock-In Tax Letters. 
• Process Retro Pay Adjustment (+/-) 
• Process VISA adjustment for employees on F1, J1, H1B 
• General Ledger reconciliations research and correct processing. 
• Dept incoming Mail distribution 

Must be computer literate in PC based hardware or previous experience with the following systems is required: 
• Oracle HRMS 
• Oracle Time & Labor 
• ADP-ProBusiness 
• ADP Report Writer/Rapid Runner 
• Siebel 
• MS-Excel 
• MS-Outlook 
• BofA CashPro 

Individual should be a quick learner, self-motivator, able to work independently with minimal directions. Additionally this individual will need to be able to work closely and collaborate with internal and external business partners on projects. 

Current American Payroll Association (APA) certification, for CPP and/or FPC is a plus.
