Payroll Clerk

Adecco is assisting a local industrial company in their search for a Payroll Clerk in Superior, WI. This position will start out temporary for several months, with potential for permanent hire. Ideal candidates are experienced in weekly payroll processing, union reporting, tax deadlines, unemployment processing, and can work independently to complete these tasks. Responsibilities of a Payroll Clerk include:

-Process payroll for over 100 employees

-Accurately enter data for processing

-Following guidelines and processes to enter and document data (invoices, payroll, etc.)

-Review time cards, ensure accuracy, process accordingly

-Keep organized documentation of all incoming data and files (manually and electronically document)

-Use printer, scanner, and fax

-Assist with unemployment correspondence and processing

-Follow payroll tax deadlines and filing

-Assist with union reporting

-Additional tasks as assigned


-Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or Business would be a plus

-Related experience needed  

-Strong Microsoft Excel/Spreadsheet experience and knowledge

-Strong data entry skills (100% accuracy is expected when processing payroll)

-Proven ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and training

-Ability to work independently when completing tasks

Hours are full time Monday-Friday, day hours.

Compensation is $16 per hour.
