Payroll specialist Finance

Adecco is assisting Ross Corporate stores in recruiting for a Payroll Specialist in Dublin, CA. This is a full-time long-term temp to hire position at Ross’s corporate headquarters.

Responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist analyst include but are not limited to:

  • Process and balance bi-weekly payrolls for all store hourly personnel.                              
  • Create manual check requests for termination pay, adjustment pay, or retro pay timely and within any respective state mandates.  
  • Process stop payments and research and reissue returned checks   
  • Develop effective work relationships with the DM Admin and Store Management team to gain their trust and confidence.                                                                                                               
  • Respond to all employee inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Remain current on existing or new payroll guidelines, processes or any legislation impacting payroll.                                


Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Requires 2-4 years of payroll experience desired
  • Must be able to maintain highest level of confidentiality for all employee payroll and personnel records
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service while working with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and/or mandates and maintain effective communication with all internal and external contacts
  • Strong organization skills, ability to set priorities
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel for Windows                            
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
