Payroll_Administrative Assistant

Position Summary: This position is responsible for processing the payroll, commissions and basic expenses for all frontline employees.

This is a part time/temp position:
Schedule: Sunday, Monday and Thursday

Position Responsibilities:
• Reviews, audits and imports a high volume of time data into Kronos in a timely manner
• Processes commission and overtime/variable overtime data to compensate employees
• Maintains employee records in the Company’s Commission tracking system
• Resolves discrepancies in employee timesheets
• Insures that all employee time entries are in compliance with Company policy and State/Federal or other regulatory bodies
• Works with Company leaders and Human Resources staff to obtain Kronos reports.
• Runs payroll Kronos reports for compliance purposes
• Inputs and processes mileage calculations for expense reimbursement
• Monitors and maintains earned time banks within Kronos or manual trackers
• Promptly responds to requests and inquiries from employees whether in-person, via email or over the telephone.

Essential Skills and Experience:
• 2-3 years of multi-state payroll, data, report processing
• Experience using data warehouse and/or HCM/payroll/automated timekeeping programs such as Kronos.
• Knowledge of State, Federal and other regulatory requirements for payroll and wage/hour
• Demonstrated ability supporting teams of 300-400 employees
• Intermediate proficiency using MS Excel or other spreadsheet applications
• Ability to multi-task with frequent interruptions in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and to complete projects and assignments independently
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Ability to perform the following:
- Process simple mathematical problems manually or using a calculator
- Read and communicate in English
- Sit for long periods of time
- Work with and in front of a computer and monitor for long periods of time
- Use a keyboard and/or input large amounts of information into a computer-based system
- Solve problems independently
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
- Must be able to focus and maintain a strong attention to detail
- Work a flexible work schedule as dictated by business needs

Valued but not required skills and experience:
• Advanced proficiency or certification in MS Excel
• 3-4 years of previous experience using SAP
