Pharmaceutical Order Entry Processor

Position Summary The Order Entry Processor is responsible for document management in Life File. Entering patient, client, and medication demographics. Processing orders and furthering them to the appropriate processing folder to be completed. Communicate with Customer Care regarding incomplete orders. Responsibilities

1. Maintain current and accurate data for all pharmacies.

2. Enter accurate patient demographic information into Life file.

3. Maintain confidentiality of pharmacy information, following HIPAA guidelines.

4. Identify incomplete orders.

5. Use sound judgement in handling incoming orders.

6. Work closely with the Customer Care Team.

7. Understand when to escalate calls to a Supervisor.

8. Complete fax confirmations.

Qualifications

1. Outstanding research and analytical skills.

2. Problem solve rapidly and effectively.

3. Type at the minimum, 60 wpm. Typing test required.

4. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access) and internet.

5. Demonstrated job stability.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Work independently with minimal supervision.

2. Route orders in a timely manner.

3. Capability to handle confidential and sensitive information, following HIPAA guidelines.

4. Ability to communicate effectively with other team members.

5. Capability to organize and prioritize incoming orders.
