POSITION: Pharmacovigilance Data Specialist
LOCATION: Shawnee, KS (Zip 66216)
DURATION: 12 Months
PAY RATE: $24.72/hr
HOURS: 40 hrs per week

Pharmacovigilance is responsible for monitoring product safety in the marketplace.

Work cooperatively as a member of a cross-functional team interacting with current Pharmacovigilance and Veterinary Product Support staff.
Perform job tasks as assigned by department management including but not limited to case data entry, imported case processing, individual case reviews, and computer system change activities.

• Process daily case related information received from third party partners into PV Works.
• Meet appropriate requirements for regulatory compliance (varies by agency) when processing case related information.
• The incumbent will collect and record Adverse Events and Product Quality Complaints to fulfill Bayer regulatory requirements and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain a high level of technical and clinical expertise related to our client's product lines, with an awareness of the demands and needs of the clinical/hospital setting.
• Maintain knowledge of common veterinary medical conditions of major animal species, current medical procedures and treatments, and internal and external parasites and their life cycles. Maintain familiarity with veterinary practice operations and current medical knowledge in order to maximize the ability to relate to situations encountered by the customer.
• Review individual case entry from colleagues for consistency and accuracy
• Assist with testing and implementation of pharmacovigilance computer system changes
• Lead by example through consistently demonstrating high performance with regard to quantitative and qualitative performance measures.
• The incumbent will demonstrate advanced problem solving skills, properly handling inquiries and complaints with minimal supervision.

HS Diploma or Equivalent
Registered / licensed / certified veterinary technician (RVT / LVT / CVT)

Skill & Competency Requirements:
• Proficient technical experience in clinical veterinary medical practice
• The incumbent will possess good computer skills and knowledge of the business-related utilization of the Internet. Computer literacy, including proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook is mandatory.
• This individual must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

Preference given for experience with PV Works software.
