Adecco Medical & Science has a current job opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is a full-time, contract opportunity working in a call center setting. In this role you will take in-coming calls from members and insurance providers, and provide professional phone assistance to callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. Job Title: Pharmacy Technician-Prior Authorizations
Job Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
Duration: This is a contract opportunity – that can possibly be extended
Pay: $16/hr

Pharmacy Technician responsibilities to include:

Using established criteria and guidelines, the pharmacy technician receives and processes prior authorization requests made by providers and members for medications not inherently covered on a member's prescription drug plan
Answer prior authorization inquiry calls or/and faxes as well as research and resolve formulary and benefit issues using the appropriate reference material
Resolve issues and complaints in a timely manner
Performs other duties as assigned by management
Handles inbound phone requests and gathers member data to provide information for Pharmacist consultations
Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands/fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods working at a computer

Qualifications:

Must have valid and active NV Pharmacy Technician license or PTCB certification

1 year of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred
Prior authorization, appeals, or health plan experience highly preferred
Available to work 40 hours per week and overtime as required according to the needs of the business
Prior stable work experience
Attention to details
Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must



Additional Details:

Training: 4 weeks, Monday-Friday, regular business hours. MANDATORY ATTENDANCE
Shift: Must have open availability between the hours of 6am-10pm PST M-F with a rotating Saturday shift
Dependent on business needs, there may be required Overtime and Holidays
Excellent attendance is a MUST
