Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a picker/packer opportunity in Sacramento, CA.

Job Summary:
• "Picking and Packing": Pulling medical supplies and IV pump that are found on a patient's delivery ticket and packaging them with the medication that will be delivered to a patient's home, utilizing cold packs and other packaging materials. Affixing delivery label to the box.
• Creating Federal Express labels and manifests and scheduling Fed Ex pickups.
• Route deliveries to appropriate party (internal driver/courier, Fed Ex, external courier), recording/tracking each shipment to the courier utilized.
• Track completion of deliveries (online FedEx verification) to assure that the delivery was successfully made. Make contact with Fed Ex customer service to trouble shoot delivery issues.
• Cleaning IV pumps that are returned from patient's homes.
• Stocking the shelves with the medical supplies that have been ordered and delivered to the pharmacy.
• Stocking the freezer with ice packs.
• Straightening/cleaning the warehouse: sweeping, keeping shipping area free of unnecessary debris or clutter.

Must have qualifications/experience:
• Courier/delivery, warehouse, shipping or other inventory maintenance experience highly desirable.
• Must tolerate or thrive in a fast paced and changing environment (peak and valley workflow).
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Focus and Attention to detail is a MUST as it is imperative that sick patients get the right medication and right supplies the first time.
• Proficiency/comfort level with using a computer (logging in, accessing Fed Ex website or other necessary programs). No Excel/Word required.
• Physically capable to be on feet most of the day. Able to lift 40 pounds. No physical restrictions can be accommodated, as this position requires reaching, squatting, lifting, pivoting.
• Must be English speaking, proficient in reading so that individual can read items from a list and find corresponding item on shelf.
• Desired: knowledge of/experience with understanding patient confidentiality/HIPPA concerns.


20 - 24 HOURS PER WEEK;
Shift Start/End Time: 10-5 Monday, Thursday 10-5, Friday 9-5:30.


Dress Code: Casual, but professional. Jeans/cargo shorts, collared shirts (no T-Shirts), work boots/reinforced toe shoes. Loose, comfortable clothing conducive to physical activity and in a warm warehouse.
