The Pipe Foreman is responsible for:

  • Operating as a Working Foreman performing a variety of job site tasks alongside the pipe layers and laborers
  • Ensure the safety of the crew, equipment and client visitors to the work site by complying with company policies and procedures as well as OSHA safety standards
  • Schedule crews daily and weekly tasks related to the project
  • Ensuring materials and equipment are available on the job site for the completion of all tasks to the project schedule
  • Read a tape measure, blueprints, and construction/engineering notes
  • Work in inclement weather – extreme heat or cold – loud noise, dust, or mud from a construction site
  • Effectively and safely lead a crew by communicating clearly in English with all team members the safety, quality and timeline objectives for the project

Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years working with pipes and plumbing
  • At least 2-3 years supervising construction crews
  • Capable of calculating job change orders to ensure proper job materials are available for project completion when needed
  • Ability to work outside in the Florida climate during any season of the year
  • Must possess ability to traverse a civil construction site as you will frequently be walking, stooping, kneeling, reaching and climbing on uneven ground, ladders, and concrete
  • Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 pounds – carrying rebar, hand tools, and small construction equipment, etc.
  • Must be able to read urban develop plans, blueprints, and engineering notes
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent education, and be considered a journeyman level
  • Good Communication
  • OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour safety highly desired
