ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- FOOD SAFETY / QUALITY
- Adhere to all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), such as good hand washing practices and adhering to the employee hygiene plan
- Follow all FDA guidelines
- Fill out electronic and paper logs, filing and maintaining records
- RECEIVING
- Verify of all incoming ingredients, packaging materials, and returned finished product to the facility
- Verify lot codes received against Purchase Order, BOL (Bill of Lading)
- Ensure integrity of the seal or lock before unloading
- Collect and Verify COAs (Certificate of Analysis) against vendor specification and if missing, notify the vendor
- Verify ingredient statement on the vendor label matches vendor specification on file.
- Identify discrepancies of incoming materials when compared to product specifications and approved supplier documentation
- Verify temperature at receipt of fresh raw ingredients and performing a visual quality inspection of the product
- Identify allergen products and label appropriately
- Perform for freezer/cooler quality/housekeeping inspections and monitoring temperatures
- Identify and communicate nonconforming materials
- Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe work area
- Responsible for conducting any duties assigned by QA Lead
- Responsible for upholding, following and maintaining the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing
- SHIPPING
- Conduct daily pre-dispatch quality checks on all product lines picked for shipping orders
- Verify sanitary conditions of the truck
- Verify temperature of finished product.
- Verify the right product, containers, cases, and labels are used for each order.
- Verify correct pallet configuration per customers’ requirements
- Ensure seal or lock are placed on the truck before leaving the facility.
