Adecco is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a PLC Programmer Job in Erie, PA for our client, a busy manufacturer of quality food products. The PLC Programmer provides electrical and PLC Programming expertise to the maintenance and engineering departments and actively participates as a member within the maintenance team. Previous PLC programming experience


Responsible for the programming automation and controls systems involving Allen Bradley PLCs (programmable logic controllers).
Create, program, modify and troubleshoot using Logix and AB HMI software in an Allen Bradley RS 5000 environment.
Create and read logic and flow diagrams for program design, programming, simulation and testing, and start up.
Troubleshoot a range of electrical and instrumentation systems.
Responsible for knowing appropriate industrial electrical codes and requirements relating to the trade. Knowledgeable of AC and DC systems up to 480v/3 phase including sensors and servos. Read and understand electrical schematics.
Respond to electrical emergencies and/or assists with mechanical aspects within the maintenance team.
Assist with process improvement projects and other project implementations.
Responsible for following all Company, USDA and Environmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in electrical controls or equivalent training/experience required.
Required to work overtime and weekends as necessary Specialized knowledge, licenses, skills, etc.
Must be proficient in motor controls, processes and PLC programming, preferably AB / Allen Bradley PLCs.
Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Welding skills a plus Must be able to read and write English legibly.
Must be able to perform various functions/tasks without constant supervision.
Must be able to work flexible hours; required to work overtime as necessary.
