POSITION: Posting and Procurement Specialist
LOCATION: Matteson, IL 60443
START DATE: 12/31/2018
DURATION: 6/30/2019
PAY RATE: $19.60 per/hr / Adecco W2 (depending on years of experience with our client's requirements below)
HOURS: 8:30am – 4:30pm

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Work Environment:
Office setting; possibly located in a shop environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Create purchase orders, receive purchase orders and process returns in Oracle.
Review requisition and purchase orders to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications (i.e. general ledger and purchasing categories and intended use).
Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems; track the status of purchase order.
Compare suppliers' invoices with purchase orders to verify accuracy and follow up to obtain corrected invoice and system updates if necessary.
Make local buying decisions in the event of an emergency.
Prepare, maintain, and review purchasing files, reports and price lists.
Serve as liaison with Shared Services Center.
Provide supporting documentation for month-end accruals related to non po expenditures.
Submit invoices for payment and ledger coding.
Document, classify, and track revenue leakage.
Reconcile supplier monthly statements.
Process local auction check disbursements.
Record reconditing and various other charges to vehicle work orders.
Record transportation revenue and expense in AS400 and Oracle.
Forward invoices to appropriate departments and/or accounts.
Ensure proper documentation is provided to account coordinators for vehicle jackets.
May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.


High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Basic Auction knowledge a plus.
Knowledge of AS400, ORACLE, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook) and basic accounting procedures preferred.
Solid computer skills required.
Ability to perform repetitive data entry tasks; manual dexterity.
Effective communication skills and organizational skills required. Strong attention to detail and follow-through required.
Working knowledge of supplier base, parts and supplies ordering, and auction operations
Ability to effectively adapt to and lead change.
Ability to operate adding machines and other office equipment (e.g., copier, fax machine, etc.).
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
Vision abilities required include close, distance and depth perception.
