The primary responsibility of this position is to assist with the operating planning process by developing budgets and performing analytics. Responsible for reporting, modeling and analyzing operating costs at both the corporate and functional level. 
 

Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:

  • Serve as the primary business partner for the Sales, Marketing, Training, Service, and Sales Ops organizations in order to develop the 2018 operating plan. 
  • Perform budget versus actual analytical packages to distribute to budget owners across the company. Responsible for keeping functional budget owners spending within their budgets. 
  • Approve POs and ensure POs are coded to correct departments and GLs. 
  • Work with business partners to calculate monthly accruals. 
  • Development of departmental expense, headcount and capital budgets. 
  • Provide in-depth analysis of business results, identifying emerging risks and opportunities and regularly communicate findings to senior management. 
  • Work with business partners to understand key drivers and enhance financial modeling and forecast accuracy. 
  • Leverage solid Excel and financial modeling skills to develop and maintain financial models used in reporting, analysis and financial forecasting 
  • Learn and master BPC – our financial budgeting and reporting tool. Leverage and enhance existing templates for monthly reporting 
  • Perform variety of tasks and ad-hoc analysis, as necessary 

 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting. 
  • Five years of experience, with increasing responsibility within the Finance organization.
  • Biotechnology/Medical Device industry experience is a plus. 
  • Solid understanding of GAAP; high level of business acumen; highly motivated and dedicated individual. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; well organized, detail oriented; strong oral and written communication skills; effective problem solver with creative solutions. 
  • Must have Strong systems skills, with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience leveraging ERP (SAP, Oracle) and FPM (Hyperion, Cognos) systems to their fullest
     
  • 6 months (possibility to be extended)
