Process Improvement Specialist

Adecco is currently assisting a manufacturing company in Lafayette, IN to in seeking candidates for a Process Improvement Specialist position. Pay is $21 to $23 an hour depending on experience. This is a temp to hire position for the right candidate. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting and assisting the Continuous Improvement Manager in the organization, planning, implementation and follow-through of continuous improvement initiatives established within the Company¿s operating model. The Process Improvement Specialist coordinates and leads a wide range of activities that are designed to improve on-time delivery, productivity, quality, cost, safety and environmental performance.

Responsibilities:

-Facilitates successful kaizen, problem solving and rapid improvement process events with both internal and external consultants, customers and suppliers, with a major emphasis on locally focused improvement. Provides the support for all follow-throughs required to sustain the improvements established during the events.

-Coordinates, plans, and executes 5S and TPM kick-offs/workshops. Works with the team to create/modify cleaning standards, TPM checklists, etc. and helps audit to ensure sustainability.

-Coordinates, assists, and delivers team-based ABS training to support enhanced organizational performance through imparting a thorough knowledge of team and ABS concepts, principles, and practices.

-Assists team leaders in team skill and knowledge development to support meeting management goals, project management, improvements, results measurements, problem solving, and related team skills.

-Provides assistance and support focusing on the perfection of ABS techniques. Identifies opportunities for improvements.

-Assists in the collection of data for tracking improvements.

-Coordinates with resource departments to fabricate, install and implement improvements.

-Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards.

-Maintain full compliance with Company policies and procedures

-Demonstrate a knowledge of, and commitment to, ABS manufacturing principles and techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

-Minimum of 6 months of experience in a process improvement or lean engineering role or combined intern / co-op experience

-Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Additional Job Details:

-Ability to document current process and recommend improvements (Experience in manufacturing preferred)

-Understand and Identify workflow gaps

-Strong excel skills, ability to create pivot tables, do v-look ups, create basic formulas

-Strong understand of Microsoft office product suite

-Experience using Oracle or SAP software a plus. Must be familiar with how to navigate a database.

-Strong attention to detail

-Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with different levels of position, i.e. hourly to senior management.
