Adecco Direct Placement is currently recruiting candidates for several Direct Hire Process Technician Jobs at a busy manufacturer of quality injection molded products. The Process Technician is responsible for assisting in maintaining the sections daily work load and keeps their assigned section of machines running efficiently and productively. This position will process assigned section of machines efficiently by monitoring the productivity rate and reject rate. You will set up injection molds and related equipment for sample and production runs and start up cycles in mold in accordance with documented cycles and startup procedures. You will also be able to troubleshoot and correct problem processes. Our client has day and night shift positions open at this time and currently works on a 12 hour shift. This position offers an hourly pay rate of $17.00 to $25.00 per hour, based on experience and assessment scores. An excellent comprehensive benefits plan including insurance and 401K are also offered.

Responsibilities for the Plastic Injection Molding Technician Job in Erie, PA are:


Assist in the sampling of jobs when work load requires it.
Assist Floor Personnel (when needed).
Attend all training sessions.
In-process attribute/functional gauging (where required).
In-process SPC monitoring and reporting.
Keep accurate records of machine downtime when required.
Maintain housekeeping and safety throughout their section.
To take direct control in one's section of the production operations.


qualifications:

1 year experience of injection molding setup, or has had training in processing or equivalent.
High school diploma or equivalent
Handling and use of applicable measuring and test equipment.
Thorough understanding of polymer flow behavior, close loop machinery, mold bases and repairs, preferred.
Thorough understanding of potential failure mode's of the Company's product lines.
Working knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control).
Must be able to work with limited supervision.
Forklift and scissor-lift experience preferred
Has taken/completed some processing classes, or willing to train candidate that has proper knowledge and personal attributes.
Basic math skills.
Good communication skills (verbal, written) and Good reading and comprehension skills.
