Title: Process Transformation Manager 
Pay: $45.00 Hourly 
Duration:6 months (possible extension)
Location:Sandy Springs, GA  30328
Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm M-F
 
JOB SUMMARY

  • The Process Excellence Manager (Contingent) will be responsible for working with teams to design and communicate future state processes for global adoption.
  • Future state design construction will be inclusive of creating desired customer experience, through technology and development of people-based processes.
  • Develop process documentation, work procedures and communication materials.
  • Experience interviewing/ observing individuals to document current state global processes.
  • Proven ability to challenge team norms to optimize a streamlined future state process enabled by technology.
  • Experience applying Lean Six Sigma concepts in order to show measurable improvements to process performance, cost reduction and improved customer satisfaction.
  • Travel may be required.
JOB DUTIES
  • Engages directly with project teams to document current state process maps and procedures inclusive of required variations due to legal or contractual requirements
  • Facilitates teams through a Customer Journey Map or process mapping workshop to develop an optimized future state experience and design
  • Identifies and defines key performance metrics for a process
  • Creates the future state design incorporating technological enhancements, mistake proofing and failure proofing concept
  • Works with IT to build business and functional requirements
  • Documents processes proficiently to convey them in a user-friendly format to increase process adoption of the future state
  • Communicates / trains  future state processes to operators and users of new processes
  • Interfaces with senior functional business leaders, program managers, subject matter experts and front-line team members across the organization
  • Leads training sessions to facilitate adoption of the process across the organization
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years' professional experience driving process improvement within business functions (Human Resources, Finance, Accounts Payable, etc.)
  • Knowledge of process documentation tools (i.e. Bizagi, Blueworks, Visio, etc.) along with documentation best practices of knowledge management methods
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree (or internationally comparable degree) or be a current UPS employee with three years of experience
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement disciplines (i.e. Lean Six Sigma and Design Thinking) with practical application experience
  • Experience in the development of training. and communicating process
  • Demonstrated ability to document processes and work procedures
  • Ability to dissect a process into an organized approach and quickly form a hypothesis against which to pilot and experiment
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and run webinar training and workshop events
  • Combination of out-of-the-box thinking and ability to question the status quo and generally accepted beliefs
  • HR process experience - Preferred
  • Green Belt certification - Preferred
  • Willing to travel by plane or driving personal vehicle or rental car. (Approved expenses will be reimbursed)
