Sourcing/Procurement Specialist in Charlotte NC 28277.

Position: Procurement / Sourcing Specialist
Location: Charlotte NC
Duration: 9 months W2 Contract


Overview

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ensuring all purchase requisitions successfully complete the approval process while maintaining positive relationships with all business partners.


Additionally, the ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. The Procurement Specialist ensures the client's Employees and Suppliers successfully navigate through the procurement and invoicing process.

Responsibilities:




Assisting internal lines of business that include, but are not limited to Marketing, Information Technology, Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, and Corporate Services throughout the procurement cycle
Interface closely with Accounts Payable, Finance and Technology teams to validate purchase requests
Follow-up with Accounts Payable to ensure timely invoice processing as needed
Develop and Maintain strong relationship with internal line of business and vendor partners
Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures and government regulations
Participate in special projects as needed



Required Background skills:




Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment
5 years of professional experience in Procurement, Sourcing and/or Supply Chain Management
Experience with procurement tools such as SMART by GEP or SAP Ariba
Experience with SMART and Ariba is preferred, but not required
Experience with other Procurement tools is acceptable
High degree of problem solving, decision-making ability and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and work well in a team environment
Ability to work in diverse environments and adhere to highest ethical standards
Excellent relationship building, influencing and communication skill
