Position: Product Manager
Location: Pennington, NJ
Length: 11 Months
Hours: 40 per week M-F 8am to 5pm 
Pay rate Depends on experience
 
Summary overview:
  • The Product Manager facilitates the development and ensures completion of the business program through the coordination of tasks, issues and risks through the System Architect and the Project Managers on the program.
  • Measures and monitors progress to ensure that the business capability is delivered on time and within budget, and that it meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Experience, both in the problem domain (through a thorough understanding of business requirements) and the software engineering domain.
  • Other responsibilities include client management relationship, leadership and management of the program typically delivering results through others, setting the technical and business direction for the group, effective allocation and use of resources through out releases, and establishing team environment. 

Additionally, you will:
  • Create project plan based on direction and ensure that project plan is updated and on schedule
  • Co-lead project team meetings and prepare meeting minutes
  • Validate impact of changes during project lifecycle
  • Ensure all applicable functions are represented
  • Create and maintain Project Stakeholder Contact List
  • Assist to document, standardize and validate business workflows
  • Ensure product training needs are identified; documentation, vehicle, impacted areas (i.e. Financial Advisors, Client Relationship Managers, Client Service Managers, Call Center, etc.), ongoing maintenance, etc.
  • Ensure communication and reporting needs are identified; population, vehicle, frequency/timing, approvals
  • Ensure Legal requirements are identified and supported; i.e. contracts, letters, approvals, etc.
  • Identify/track open issues and risks to closure as well as manage issue/risk escalation process
  • Determine impact across other ongoing projects
  • Determine impact to existing products and services
  • Implement ongoing product/project metrics
  • Provide management reporting
  • Coordinate final project report
Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s strongly preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years Project Management experience
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with all audiences to include line of business, operations, technology, vendors, peers, and management
  • Proficient in MS Word, Visio, Power Point, MS Project and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects and tasks with overlapping deliverable dates
  • Demonstrated initiative: conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility
  • Resource must have excellent communication skills. 
  • Experience with Desktop platforms, Financial Advisor solutions, Search concepts/designs, Web navigation and Wealth Management is required. 
  • Must have experience working with vendors. 
  • Must have subject matter expertise in search, platform, and/or market data 
  • Key responsibilities include defining requirements, leading projects, delivering, testing, setting the and use of resources throughout releases. 
  • Prior experience with delivering projects for Merrill Lynch Wealth Management is a plus.
